Message from our Chair

As we share our 2025 Impact Report, I’m genuinely thrilled to celebrate the completion of our 2020-2024 Strategic Plan. It’s a real credit to the commitment and flexibility shown by everyone in our Bridge community.

Over the past few years, we’ve navigated plenty of change – including shifts in Board and CEO leadership, new rules and regulations and the significant impact from the much-needed change in the Government policy focus to support the delivery of more social and affordable housing. Through all of this, Bridge has stayed strong and true to what we stand for while making the necessary changes to take advantage of the renewed national focus on providing more homes for more people who deserve them.

Looking ahead, we’re about to enter an exciting period of growth. It is critical that while we do this we remain focused on making our services even better for residents, staff, and partners.

I would like to call out the very significant contribution of our Tenant Advisory Groups and our Tenant Reference Group, made up of some of our very committed tenants. Their thoughtful contributions and ongoing efforts to ensure we remain focused on and connected to what is best for our residents is a critical part of what we do. Their representation of our resident’s voice is one of the most important elements of what we do.

Finally I would especially like to thank Graham Monk, who has dedicated nine years to our Board. Bridge couldn’t do what it does without a very committed staff, executive and Board, and Graham’s contribution to that over the last 9 years has been immeasurable.

Message from our CEO

The achievements highlighted in our 2025 Impact Report are a testament to a huge year of growth and innovation for Bridge, our residents, our staff and our Board.

The dedication of our teams, both the incredible people working directly with community and our champions supporting behind the scenes, has driven our progress.  Helping people find and sustain secure safe and affordable homes and creating real change in our communities.

Every day, they embody the values of innovation, integrity, inclusion, and impact. These principles are woven into the fabric of everything we do, guiding our response to the housing challenges faced by Sydneysiders. Our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan provides a pragmatic roadmap: to deliver more homes and essential services that make a meaningful difference – now and into the future.

This year, thanks to the support provided by the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF), Homes NSW and LGAs such as City of Sydney, we’ve been able to turn strategic intent into practical outcomes. We are witnessing the benefits that stable, affordable housing brings – security, dignity, and a foundation for opportunity. These are not abstract ideals; they are changes felt by people in our neighbourhoods, shaping lives in tangible ways.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on expanding access to housing, quality individualised services and nurturing inclusive communities. We are committed to making continuous improvements that respond to local needs so that more people can thrive today, and so that Sydney remains affordable for future generations.

Our mission is ambitious, but through collaboration with partners, stakeholders, and the community, we can keep building a future where everyone has the opportunity for a secure home.
